Day 1
Fly in to Terrace. Board Kitimat. Into the Great Bear Rainforest!
Fly in to Terrace, British Columbia by private jet or scheduled flight from Vancouver BC.
Transfer by vehicle to Kitimat to board your yacht.
Enjoy lunch on arrival, and cruising into the Great Bear Rainforest.
Days 2 – 5
Enjoy magnificent wildlife:
- Humpback whales
- Fin whales (second largest in the world after blue whales)
- Orca whales
- Pacific white-sided dolphins
- Visit a massive Sea Lion colony.
For one day, venture ashore to join renowned “spirit bear whisperer” guide Marven Robinson. Walk into a river viewing area to see the iconic Spirit Bear (a white fur variation of the black bear). You can see, and photograph, Spirit Bears and other bears fishing for salmon that return each fall.
Take an adventure in your yacht’s kayaks.
Visit Cetacea Lab, the marine research outpost located at Whale Point on the southern end of Gil Island at the entrance to Douglas Channel.
Day 6
End Kitimat. Fly out from Kitimat or Terrace.
This morning, cruise back to Kitimat, watching for whales.
Vehicle transfer to Terrace, fly out by private jet or a scheduled commercial flight to Vancouver
