Luxury Yacht Charter in French Polynesia
The Society Islands, Huahine to Bora Bora, 7 or more nights
The legendary, and mountainous, “Society Islands” of Bora Bora, Taha’a, Raiatea, & Huahine are all stunning. Each island is lovely for different reasons.
Bora Bora is the most dramatic, yet Raiatea is simply beautiful.
Taha’a is very quiet & peaceful, and Huahine is out of this world spectacular.
Although they are all very different, they are similar in that they are all surrounded by clear blue water, and have outer reefs enclosing the lagoon. There are small islands (Motus) around the edges of the lagoon, giving dozens of great anchorages & snorkel sites. The water is so clear it looks good enough to drink!
The perfect seven day charter in the Society Islands would be to fly into Tahiti’s international airport at Papeete (PPT) and take a domestic flight (www.airtahiti.com) to Huahine (HUH). Alternately, transfer to Moorea on arrival for a few days before flying on to Huahine.
Huahine is the furthest to windward of the islands, so after spending two days in (the not-to-be missed) Huahine, Gazelle would do a down wind trip (and therefore easy sailing), to Raiatea and Taha’a, taking in all the best sites.
At the end of your charter, spend the last two days in magical Bora Bora.
You can depart from Bora Bora Airport (BOB) by a 50 minute flight back to Papeete, Tahiti to connect with your international flight.
With multiple scheduled flights a day between the islands, there are plenty of connections available.
