Brook Bennett

Brook Bennett has been in the yachting industry since 1995. He has worn many hats over the years but prefers wearing the Captain’s hat. Growing up in North Carolina, he spent most of his childhood being around the water where he found his passion for fishing. Weather it’s fly fishing in the Rockies, salmon fishing in Alaska, or trolling for marlin, he loves it all. One of his favorite hobbies that goes along with fishing is tying flies. Other interests include snow skiing, golf, car restoration, beachcombing and basically anything around the water.

Alex Brown
First Mate

Alex is a Canadian-American and was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, but also has his mom's side of the family in Vancouver, BC. He grew up sailing, surfing, and inshore fishing on the Gulf of Mexico. In 2018, Alex's best friend and fellow sailing enthusiast, convinced him to join Yachting. Since then, he has worked on yachts ranging from 100'-160', sailing the Caribbean, Bahamas and up the East Coast of the United States. He plans to make this his career and work his way up to Captain someday. In his off time, Alex chases waves, girls, and the thrill of driving exotic cars.

Matt Quidato

Matt originally hails from Nueva Ecija, Philippines growing up on a rice farm where he was instilled with a passion for the great outdoors. He soon immigrated to Fort Lauderdale, FL which exposed him to a whole new lifestyle of being on the water brought on organically by living in the “Venice of America.” Matt started out in his teens rebuilding jet skis and small craft engines with his brother in his free time, while working at his family’s real estate company. He later decided that a career in yachting was a more satisfying endeavor and has spent the last 2 years working through the ranks and gaining more knowledge along the way. Matt enjoys reading and revels in custom tuning and occasional DIY on his car.

Gillian Wrightson

Gillian was raised in Maryland where she spent her youth swimming in the Chesapeake and going crabbing on her grandfather’s little wooden rowboat. She also spent her summers sailing in Northern Michigan. She has always had a love of the water and even married her husband, Dan, on the shores of the Chesapeake. Gillian made a career change to Yachting in 2018 after 16 years in the Hospitality industry, opening and training staff for hotels all over the continental US, Grand Caymans, and Amsterdam. Gillian has experience working on vessels of 30M - 46M and has cruised the Eastern and Western seaboard, Bahamas, Alaska, and now is enjoying her time in Central America. Gillian has a passion for food and she loves to cook with different local flavors paired with fresh citrus and herbs. When not in the galley, you can find Gillian hanging in her hammock at the beach or on her SUP and kayak.

Jeanine Bennett
Chief Stewardess

Jeanine has been in yachting since 2015 when she decided to leave a corporate office job for something a little more adventurous. Having grown up on the beach in Central Florida, she knew she had to go back to her roots with her love of travel, hospitality, and the ocean. Since then, she has cruised both the East and West Coast including the PNW and Alaska, the Bahamas/Caribbean, and now is happy to add Central America to the list. She has worked on vessels ranging in size from 90’-150’. In her free time, Jeanine enjoys traveling, crafting, birdwatching, snorkeling, hiking, skiing, and just being outdoors.

Karina Malaeva

Karina grew up in Novosibirsk, Russia, but has lived and worked in the US for the last 4 years. She has been in yachting since 2016, mostly cruising Southeast Asia including China, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Client Comment:
“In short, I don’t think our trip could have been better. The Crew were all terrific. The Boat was wonderful and the scenery was unlike anything we have ever seen. We were able to visit and experience many places that very few people in the world have an opportunity to see. And like any experience the key to success was the attention to detail and the professionalism and attitude of the crew. This aspect of the trip couldn’t be better. The crew worked together as a team and they all acted like they really wanted to be with us. They added some unique and surprising customer experiences along the way that were much appreciated.  The Captain set the tone for excellence.  We’ve been on other cruises where the Captain didn’t go the extra mile—that was not the case with him as he was proactive and very communicative every step of the way. He took us into places where he could have easily said the tide was too low or use some other technical explanation so he didn’t have to try. That never happened as he always tried his best to deliver the best experience. The food and the service inside the boat was also top notch. For example, any laundry was back in our room and folded within 2 hours and we didn’t even set it out for cleaning!”
