Owner Operators Captain Jim and Chef Alisa (left in photo) are vastly experienced in SE Alaska, where they are long term residents.
Captain Jim Edgars was born and raised in Alaska. Jim has been commercial fishing Alaskan waters since his early teens. When he is not out fishing, he spends his time jet boating up the Stikine River, as well as exploring the Tongass National Forest. Given that Jim spends more time in the Alaskan Wilderness than any other place, he is uniquely equipped to showcase many of Alaska’s hidden jewels! Jim's wealth of knowledge and lifetime of Alaskan stories are sure to keep you informed and entertained.
Chef Jestel received her culinary training in the Culinary Arts Program at the Art Institute of Seattle. Alisa cooked in Seattle restaurants for 10 years and even won a Gold Medal from the American Culinary Foundation. She joined her first yacht 15 years ago and she hasn't looked back! Chef Alisa could have become an elite global yacht charter chef but she deeply loves SE Alaska.
Alisa has a knack for turning your fresh catch into a memorable meal, and she utilizes the bounty Alaska has to offer both from the land and the sea. Her meals are uniquely crafted to suit each guest's individual palette and preferences. Alisa has dazzled our clients for many years, and some have even hired her to travel with them. Cooking is her passion, and it shows. Come aboard and enjoy a personalized culinary adventure!
Alisa and Jim met on a whale research charter and have been together since.
Maryanne Bertrand
Chief Stewardess
Maryanne grew up going to the New Jersey shore every summer. She has always loved the ocean, so joining yachting was an easy choice. Being a Chief Stewardess on yachts has allowed her to share her love of tablescapes, theme nights, and crafting cocktails with others. Her other interests include traveling, being active, and most of all being on the water.
Luke Jeffrey
Mate
Luke was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a child, he loved spending time on the lake swimming, riding jet skis, and doing all types of watersports. He loves camping, the outdoors, traveling and meeting new people. Luke obtained his Dive Master in Utlia, Honduras. He also has his US Coast Guard 100 Ton Masters License and looks forward to becoming a Captain in future years.
