David Sliss
CAPTAIN
David started to learn about the ocean and fishing and found his passion for the sea. Captain Sliss started his career in 1996 working on the long-range fishing vessels of San Diego. In 2006 he earned his first US Coast Guard Captain licenses. Over the years Captain David went from fishing vessels to private yachts, and for the past 15 years this has been his passion. Since 2006 David has moved up in the maritime industry to now holding his 1,600-ton Master’s License. Throughout his career, Captain Sliss has traveled and worked in many areas of the world including Panama, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and the USA Northeast. In the end, the destination he has always found to be home is Baja where he spends his days spearfishing, surfing, or just simply basking in the Baja sun.
For Mexico:
Jennifer Ceseña
STEWARDESS
Jennifer was born and raised all along the Baja Peninsula.
She is passionate about the ocean and sports. Jennifer connected with the ocean from a very young age and became a tour guide for whale sharks, humpback whales and sea lion expeditions along with many other kinds of sea life. Her life in the yachting industry began on a 50ft Beneteau sailboat where she learned how to sail. Now with many years of on-board experience she has dedicated her life to learning about luxury vessels, hospitality and top of the line customer service.
Jorge Barrios
CHEF
Chef Jorge Barrios was born in La Paz, Baja. He spent most of his childhood at a fish co-op in San Carlos learning how to prepare and cook seafood from a very young age. His father was also the co-op's baker. Jorge went to a chef trade school in high school and did his internship at Akira Sushi at El Merkado. He went on to work as a cook in Italian and Mediterranean restaurants, and as a private chef in villas and convention centers for 2 years. His last job was as a pastry manager at Sunset Monalisa where he learned how to prepare high quality pastry and bakery from the hand of excellent chefs. His favorite food to cook is Mediterranean and he loves to make homemade pasta.
Alejandro Romero Camacho
DECKHAND
Alejandro was born in Puerto Adolfo López Mateos Baja, in 1981 from a fishing family. His grandfather was the founder of the town. He is passionate about the sea and its beauty. With more than fifteen years of experience in handling and working with boats, he has excelled at lobster and abalone fishing. On board his favorite catch is Wahoo and Dorado.
Tomas Rodríguez
DECKHAND
Tomas is from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. He was born into a sailing family - his father being a captain and his mother being a chef. He has a Chemical Process Engineering degree obtained in Puerto de Manzanillo and developed skills in quality control, processes and logs. At some point, though, Tomas decided to listen to his heart, leave the engineering career and follow in his family footsteps by joining the yachting industry. He started his new journey in Puerto Vallarta and, after getting to know all the Bahia de Banderas, he found an opportunity of growth in Los Cabos. Customer service and entertainment onboard are his thing now, and his goal is to see the entire Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean while dedicating his professional life to it.
