Owner Operator Michael Grauso leads the crew as Captain. As a dedicated and experienced boat captain, he has a deep passion for the open waters and the freedom of exploring new coastlines. Following his dreams and ambitions has lead him to a career in Southeast Alaska. Michael is enamoured by the landscapes and vastness that Tongass National Forrest provides.
With years of experience navigating through both calm and challenging waters, he prioritizes safety above all, ensuring that every journey is secure and enjoyable for everyone aboard. With a Master 200ton USCG License and also trained for CPR, AED, and First Aid he is not only skilled in handling vessels, but as well as wilderness safety. Michael also has a profound love for wildlife. Taking every opportunity to observe and protect the natural beauty that surrounds us. Whether it's fishing in tranquil bays or sharing memorable trips with family and friends, he cherishes the bonds formed on the water. The adventures are driven by a desire to discover hidden gems along the coast while promoting respect for nature and the importance of environmental conservation.
Lysanne DesJardins - Stewardess
Lysanne’s interest and curiosity for traveling had her exploring all regions of the world for the past 20 years. Since then, she has developed a true passion for surfing, which has now become her lifestyle. For the last 10 years, Lyz has pursued her lifelong dream of exploring the world through the oceans. She’s very friendly and easygoing, reliable and adaptable to different environments thanks to her many travels. She also speaks fluent English, French and Spanish.
Hobbies: Some of Lyz’s favourite interests are food & world cuisine, water sports, real estate & business development, animals and human psychology.

Ari is a self-taught Chef whose cuisine has been shaped by years of nomadic travel across continents, cultures, and kitchens. From French bistros to high-end Asian restaurants, she has trained her hands and palate in a global range of flavors—always drawn to Mediterranean soul, tropical freshness, and vibrant, health-forward cooking. She cooks with instinct, adaptability, and a deep respect for ingredients, letting each setting and season guide the plate. Ari believes food is what transforms a trip into a memory; it heightens every experience and sparks true human connection. As a nomadic Chef, she brings fine dining to the wildest corners of the world—staying grounded, inspired, and connected to the beauty of this planet.
Dominic Pisano - Mate/Engineer
A California native, Dominic brings character and professionalism to the crew. A skilled seaman, avid backpacker, and enthusiast of all things outdoors, Dominic's passion for wildlife, new experiences, and the ever-changing scenery will surely bring all on this journey to new discoveries! Fostering a love for the grandeur of the wild, as well as, the intimacy of its hidden places, ventures with Dominic in Southeast Alaska are never short of exhilarating. Since childhood, Dominic has been on the water, whether it be kayaking, surfing, diving, fishing, or boating. With his most recent years spent as an Engineer on some of the nicest boats around, Dominic is always on-hand to make sure guests are comfortable and OCEANA is happy.
